We started out loving this Americh bath tub. It was sold to us as a "Japanese soaking tub". However, just two years after installation, "blisters" appeared like a rash on the acrylic inside the tub. From what we have been able to learn, this is a defect that occurs during the manufacturing process. This apparently isn't covered by their warranty, nor can it be repaired to restore the tub to its original state. Therefore, I could not, in good faith, recommend this product.

I love my tub! Ordered it with the extra coating and also had my contractor stuff insulation around the tub before it was sealed into its tile enclosure. The water stays hot for hours, so my husband can soak at his leisure after I get out (he likes his bath a little cooler than me).

hello-
We were looking for a Japanese style soaking tub and all the other manufacturer's products were fiberglass. We ordered and installed this tub because it is high density acrylic. you can feel the difference.

Really holds 2 non obese people.
The only tub I found that is truly a soaking tub. Installed it ourselves and works like a charm (had it 7 years)

this is a very comfortable soaking tub. we built it up 18" so that the step down was much less severe. this is an awesome tub with the jets. they are quiet.
